Mt. Pamitinan is a beginner-friendly mountain located in Sitio Wawa, Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal. It offers picturesque views of the Sierra Madre mountain range, the meandering Wawa River, and the municipality of Montalban. Mt. Pamitinan has a height of 426 meters above sea level or 1397 feet. It is the second-highest mountain in the Montalban Trilogy.
In the province of Rizal, Mt. Pamitinan is situated in Rodriguez Town, which is also known as Montalban informally. This town has a wide variety of hiking trails, many of which reward hikers with beautiful panoramas of the cities below. Along with Mt. Binacayan and Hapunang Banoi, it is one of the three local favorites. After the hike, make the worthwhile detour to Wawa Dam, which is bordered by these karst mountains.
Mt. Pimitinan climbs 426 meters above sea level at its highest point. Although it’s composed of limestone and has some challenging boulders and sharp rocks, it’s an excellent experience for first-time hikers. Depending on your level of fitness, it’s rated a 3/9 difficulty and will take one to three hours to reach the summit.
