VISION

Year after year, the Municipal Planning & Development Office will be able to draw up development plans that are realistic, attainable and implementable and design policies and strategies that will lead to the effective implementation of the Municipal Government programs, projects and activities as well as harmonize the issuance of locational clearances, certifications and other related permits in accordance with the approved Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance.

MISSION

The Municipal Planning & Development Office is committed to formulate, integrate, coordinate and update all developmental plans and studies to craft comprehensive development plans and to execute the locality’s approved Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance to the advancement of this Local Government Unit.

MANDATES AND FUNCTIONS

Formulate, integrated economic, social, physical and other development plans and policies for consideration of the Local Development Council.
Conduct continuing studies, researches and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation.
Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by different functional groups or agencies.
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of various development programs, projects and activities in the Local Government Unit in accordance with the approved development plan.
Prepare comprehensive plan and other development planning documents for the consideration of the Local Development Council.
Analyze the income and expenditures patterns and formulate and recommend fiscal plans, policies and strategies for consideration of the Local Finance Committee.
Mobilize people’s participation in various development planning with the Local Government Unit
Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat of the Local Development Council
Exercise such other powers and perform such other functions and duties as may be prescribed by law and ordinance.

OFFICE OBJECTIVES

To provide technical assistance and staff service to the Local Chief Executive and other officials on municipal planning and development projects
To integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups and agencies
To prepare comprehensive plans and other development programs for consideration and approval of the LCE and adoption of the Sangguniang Bayan
To monitor and evaluate the implementation of approved development programs/ projects/activities in accordance with the approved Municipal Development Plan
To formulate & evaluate development plans & policies for consideration of the Municipal Development Council
To enforce the LGU’s approved Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance
To promote and mobilize people’s participation in the Municipal Development Council
To analyze income and expenditures patterns and recommend fiscal plans and policies for consideration of Municipal Finance Committee
