MANDATE

Efficient and effective delivery of social welfare programs and services that will enable the community and the other key players of social development to proactively respond in a timely manner

VISION

The Local Government Unit through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) envisions that all poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged individuals are free from hunger and poverty, have equal access to opportunities, enabled by a fair and just peaceful society

MISSION

To lead in developing, implementing, and coordinating social welfare programs and projects, policies, and procedures that will ensure the advancement of the rights, protection, and welfare responsive to the needs of the marginalized, vulnerable, and disadvantaged individuals.

PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT

We, at the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) in the spirit of genuine public service, hereby commit ourselves to deliver our mandate to the best of our ability in ensuring that the less advantaged, vulnerable, and marginalized sectors are provided with the appropriate assistance that is consistent with our vision and mission and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Rodriguez’ thrust towards an empowered, self-sustaining and self-reliant community.

OBJECTIVES

To formulate appropriate measures and endorsements to the Local Chief Executive (LCE) subject to the approval of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB).
To support the Local Chief Executive in carrying out measures to ensure that the planned programs and services are efficiently implemented.
To ensure the delivery of appropriate and gender-friendly social welfare and development services.
To ensure that sectoral clients are well-attended to, and engaged with respect, trust, and utmost confidentiality
To work in collaboration with other key players from the national, local, and civil society organizations following set of guidelines and protocols.
To lead the disaster management response cluster during natural and man-made disasters including camp coordination camp management.

Social welfare programs and services are fully implemented and responsive to the needs of the constituents.
