Ranking first in the recent 2022 elections for the position of a municipal councilor is living proof that he expressed his willingness to create a betterplaceforhisconstituents.
Public service has run in the blood of the Rodriguez, starting with his great grandfather Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Sr. who became the 7th Senate President of the Philippines followed by his uncle Isidro Jun Rodriguez Jr. who served for 6 consecutive terms as Congressman of the 2nd district and 1 term as Board Member.
Ivan Rodriguez was born on February 28, 1991. Ruperto “Roy” Rodriguez, his father raised him to be the great man that he is, a man that uses hiseyesfortheblind, hisearsfor thedeaf, and hisvoicefor thevoiceless. At ayoungage, he firmly believesthat education is always the greatest ally. He studied at St. Joseph’s College from Elementary to Highschool. And he graduated from De La Salle College of St. Benilde with the course of Bachelor of Arts in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs in 2012.
Before he took path in public service, he gained a lot of experience working as a Sales Executive at Peugeot Cars for 6 months, Flight Attendant at Pal Express for also 6 months, and as an Operations Manager at a construction firm for 2 years. He also served in the Philippines Air Force as a reservist with the rank of Master Sergeant and a commercial pilot license holder from Masters Flying School. Currently, he is an Operations Managing Officer and owner of JAIR Construction Services. These experiences have taught him the qualities of a good public servant; openness to learn, understanding and engaging with others, making resolutions, and desire to help others through public administration.
Recently, his calling to put use his experiences to be a public servant and serve the people has come to light. Throughout his campaign, he believed that public service means working hard for a noble purpose and being dedicated to the daily work of serving citizens. He knows that even if it is his first time elected for a public position, communication and social skills are not new to him. Every day, he pledges to himself that the utmost priority he has right now is to serve ethically and with integrity, loyalty, impartiality, and objectivity. Put the interests of the public and the public service ahead of his interests. Lastly, he ought to maintain and enhance public trust by vanishing the gap between the local government and its people.
